I'm listening to them because I'm supposed to learn a few new songs for my next jam session.

Oh yeah I am jamming with a new band now. Well we've only had 2 sessions, and I am still under evaluation. lol
Hopefully it'll get somewhere.

Anyways, more randomness from a working boy-

Today was a pretty unproductive day at work- the whole day I just felt like not doing anything. Nothing!
I hardly did anything.
Gotta work harder tomorrow.

Watched TMNT after work with TJ, Andre, Win Yew and Alvin. The show was so-so.. more of a kiddie show. The whole cinema was packed with adults. A few jokes were side splitting. Splinter is so Chinese >< haha. Watch it just for nostalgic moments.

I just finished reading Harry Potter and the half-blood prince (for the first time). In time for book 7! Harry Potter is actually pretty cool. I'm all pumped up for the movie later this year! I can't wait!

The other day I logged on msn and I saw this nick in my contact list-

So I've been really busy for the past few days (doing not very important stuff, but busy nevertheless). I've been working with Flash for the past few days and it is annoying as hell.

My allowance has been cut! Besides my home and my home cooked meals, I am no longer sponsored by my parents! I am also officially poor! RARRR!

I actually have quite a lot of stuff to post, but I'll do it another day (procrastination speaking).. got a couple of quizzes, tonnes of saved messages, pictures and stuff.. but all those will probably wait till I redesign this blog. This gray layout is pretty boring and dead :p

Every time my holidays come around, my car seems to break down. No idea why.

My semester ended on Friday. I'm finally done with my animation course. Next step..work? I'm still deciding..

In the meantime- doing everything I missed out on for the past few weeks- games, movies, going out, and sleeping! Haha

Brand New's brand new album 'The Devil and God are raging inside me' has finally leaked! I've been listening to it for the past few days, and its pretty good..not up to deja entendu, but it might take a few more listens..
Incubus 'Light Grenades' leaked as well..not a big fan of it though..sounds quite different from their older stuff..

Saosin is a post-hardcore band from Newport Beach, California who originally formed during 2003 and partly consists of former members of the band Open Hand.

Origin of name

Due to discrepancy of the pronunciation of the band name, Anthony Green gave an explanation and meaning behind the name, Saosin.

"It's pronounced 'SAY-OCEAN'. And it’s a Chinese proverb from the 15th and 16th centuries. It means 'small heart'. Fathers used to marry off their youngest sons for money and used to tell them that they weren't marrying for love, that their wife doesn’t matter. She could die at any time so don't get attached. They had to love with caution and raise their sons to be cold and unfeeling as well. I found it in the 8th grade and loved it, I used to name all my old bands that and write songs about it."

Despite this, the majority of members in the band pronounce it "Say-Oh-Sin", therefore it is generally accepted that this is an acceptable pronunciation.

The pronoucation of SAY-OCEAN is in the chinese dialect cantonese.

The Pinyin for Saosin is Xiao Xin, and translates literally into "small heart" in Mandarin and Cantonese. However, in modern times it has evolved into a phrase meaning "watch out", "love with caution", "caution", or "be careful". The closest pronounciation phonetically is SHIAO-SHING, which is quite different from both SAY-OCEAN and SAY-OH-SIN.

Got your attention didn't I? Now you wanna read the whole post :P
It's like every time there's the word 'Sex' on the front page of the newspaper, you just have to read it. Even magazines use the same method to sell. Take a trip to your local bookstore and just scan through the covers of different magazines. Most of them, especially female magazines, will mention something about sex. (Female magazines like to put quizzes too 'How hot is your sex?' 'Are you in the right relationship? Take this quiz to find out!' 'Is he cheating on you?')

Today's malay mail had 'let's talk about SEX' in big bold words on its front page. Of course I had to check it out. lol

I was reading the article till I came across the line "she insisted she would rather wait for her wedding night to get her cherry popped"- what kind of language is that?? Cherry popped? I had no idea why, but it just felt so wrong reading those words in print. I mean use it in movies, conversation and stuff, but printing it in a newspaper? haha I don't know.

Like how I find some things extremely funny, but other things not. Like shock sites. Show me a person who laughs at goatse/tubgirl etc and I'll show you a friend worth keeping. lol

Anyways, 1 more week+ to go before I move on to the next part of my life (I'm leveling up!)- still undecided between work and studies. Most probably I'll end up working. But you'll never know. I'll never know.

Nightmare Before Christmas was recently re-released, with a remastered soundtrack and a bonus disc featuring Nightmare Before Christmas songs remade by Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, Marilyn Manson, and I forgot one more person. So far I've only heard the FOB track, and I think they did a pretty good job of remaking 'What's this?'
Cobra Starship's album has leaked- pretty good album, a whole mix of different styles that Gabe Saporta knows how to pull off. Interesting album.
Senses Fail's came out awhile ago, not as good as their previous release, but a good attempt nevertheless. More 'ballad' style songs that SF aren't known for, but very enjoyable.

And did I mention Brand New's album is coming soon?!?!

EDIT: I guess I wasn't the only one who noticed: Leaders slam newspaper's article on sex- the Star.

Some of the points were quite stupid though, i.e.

Najib said the newspaper should not have carried such articles that “elaborate in detail” sex positions just to make profit at the expense of public interest.

Doesn't every other form of media? It's called marketing..

Kamarudin said that the newspaper had highlighted cheap sex and promiscuity.

Well the newspaper sure as hell didn't instill it- its in society- the newspaper merely 'highlighted' it.

Shahrizat also said the media should be more responsible in reporting about "things that are best left at home or in the bedroom” and which were “too private and intimate."

Shouldn't she be blaming the people who were surveyed instead? It's not like the newspaper would have things to write about if the people surveyed never gave them those answers.

Albeit the article was written crudely, I doubt it had bad intentions. It wasn't misinforming the public, and nobody said you had to believe everything you read anyway. Or maybe the Star just wanted to attack the Malay Mail.. lol

I haven't had so much fun recording a song before! This song took ages to complete. I wrote the lyrics awhile ago, but the music- I don't know how many times I tried to come up with suitable guitar which fit the lyrics. I had given up hope on this song, when last night I was just messing about with my guitar and came up with the intro riff, and a 'fun-sounding' progression followed. Today, I sat down, played some more, cleaned up bits, and decided this song was finally finished!

I went to the hospital today, and got prescribed tonnes of pills-

a bar of soap and some cream. The doctor said that Eczema comes around when the individual is going through bad times in their life. i.e. extreme-stress from my finalfuckingassignment. I just had to let that out..haha

I don't know, I got my eczema waaay before the pressure of assignments started mounting..I guess my body got stressed out before me..it knew what was coming!!

That day I was up till 7am, and I saw the sun rise. I decided to take a picture of it. My sleeping habits have changed..I sleep around 6-7 and wake up after 12..I am nocturnal! The people who've seen me online at those times should know :p

Bought 2 CDs today at RM8 apiece from cash converters ampang..I don't know why, I just felt like buying them. I could've easily downloaded them for free. Maybe its my guilty conscience. Haha. SR-71 is a great band, and 'Right Now' is an amazing song. Check it out sometime..

Yesterday was Raelene's birthday and I decided to ~~poison~~ cook for her :P

The plan was to wake up early in the morning to cook the food first, then when she came over, I would heat it up. Well it turned out that I didn't cook enough pasta, and I didn't manage to fry the bacon, and my little sister was late for an appointment (I had to drop her off at megamall before I picked Raelene up), so I was rushing and didn't manage to get much done. I decided to cook when she was at my place.

Before I went to pick Raelene up, I told her to dress up cos we were going somewhere fancy. I even dressed up to pick her up. When we were leaving her place, I told her that I had to go home to do something for my dad first. So when we reached my place, I told her to wait in the car, and that I would be awhile. I took about 25 minutes to finish cooking/preparing everything.

I put the dishes out, lit candles, and played Secondhand Serenade on my computer (man, was it perfect or what?! SS music is just beautiful.)

When I went back down to get her, I put on a disappointed face saying that I still had more stuff to do and that she should come up first.

When she came up, I told her to close her eyes, and when she opened them, 'The End' started playing, and the moment was just perfect. She saw the table, the food, the candles, everything, and she was happy :) and then I knew for once in my life, I had done something right.

I never thought I'd say this- when we sat down to eat, tears started flowing out of my eyes!! I think I was so happy that she was happy that I was just so happy! hahaah..I couldn't explain it.

We enjoyed our meal (nobody died..lol)

After the main course, I went to prepare dessert- strawberries in melted chocolate. I had NO idea how to melt the chocolate. I left it in a pot and turned on the fire. A few minutes later, I smelt the familiar 'burning' smell. And I checked the chocolate. Lo and behold! It was charred! (take 4, gg) and I went out to tell Raelene what happend. Whole kitchen was smoked up so we opened the windows to let it all out. I went onto to google, found out how to melt chocolate, and did that :p

Later in the evening, I brought out her birthday cake and we had some. Strudel's banana cake is AWESOME. It is SOOOOOOOOO good :P (thanks to Lynndy for introducing the class to banana cake!)

So yeah. It was great :)

School Sweet School

Today I went back in time to where it all started. School. The most fun eleven years of my life that I would never trade away for anything else in the world :)
So many things changed since my last visit awhile ago. They expanded the new tennis court, they built a new entrance, hell, they even had a mini pond with Koi fish! Everytime we went passed something new, I'd exclaim 'GIS is pimped!' It was like all our school fees went into making the school better for our juniors.

Security was beefed up, and me, Andre and SY had problems getting in during school hours, so we went for lunch at 'Buddies' first. Ahh, Buddies. The good ol' fries were still there but this time they were flavored with curry powder instead. Tasty.

I met my van driver's wife there while waiting for my food. Part of our conversation went something like this:

Her: So, where do you study now?
Me: Lim Kok Wing
Her: Ahhh! No wonder you look like that ah! Like a Lim Kok Wing Student only!
*laughter*

Her: So what do you study?
Me: Animation
Her: Ahhh! No wonder, you look like an animator!
*laughter*

I wasn't even wearing my (fake) lip-ring! What the hell does an animator look like? What the hell does a Lim Kok Wing Student animation student look like?!!

I wasn't even wearing a hat today! But anyway, I digress.

After our lunch, we went back to GIS to check out the place and to meet our teachers. The entire school was practically pimped! There were no more slippery floor tiles, we had nice looking (and smelling) toilets, the canteens now looked like food courts out of the Jetsons, hell even the science labs looked like they fit in a CSI episode! The computers all had LCD screens, and everything was just so brand-spanking-new.

We wandered the hallways looking for our teachers, and we only managed to meet a few of them. It turned out to be 'camp week' (what perfect timing) and so most of the teachers weren't around. Another conversation with my home room teacher (Ms. Yap) went something like this:

Her: So where are you studying now?
Me: ... Lim Kok Wing
Her: No wonder your hair is like that!!
*laughter*

COMEFUCKINGON!!! Is there a label on my forehead saying 'LIM KOK WING STUDENT'?!? I dressed like Andre dressed and he didn't get any labels! BAAH! I should shave my head and walk around in an orange robe instead.

(I just realized that this was a pretty imformative post. You can learn quite alot about me from the text above :P I counted..like 12 facts about me can be extracted from this post..lol)

Sometimes I relate to Jay and Silent Bob..like Jay, most of the time I'm always spouting out nonsense from my mouth, talking rubbish, meaningless crap and all that. But then once in awhile I'll say something so profound and meaningful, people go 'what the fuck?! George said that??'

I don't know. This morning, as I was driving to uni, there was a car stalled in the middle lane of the MRR2 highway. As I drove past, I looked into the car and saw a lady inside, with her hands over her eyes, like she was crying. In that moment, I just felt compelled to stop the car, go down and help her. But I didn't, I just drove off cos I was late for class. Then I thought to myself, 'how many people think the same exact thing as they drive by, but don't do anything?' I think alot of people do. And maybe one out of the thousand people who think about it do something about it.

Over the past 4 days, I've seen 5 accidents..including a fatal one involving a motorcyclist and a lorry. I doubt his helmet helped alot.

You know when you think about it, what is the point of wearing a helmet? Your head may be protected, but what about the rest of your body? If your head was untouched but the rest of your body was smashed into a bloody pulp, I doubt the helmet made a difference in your life. Helmets don't save lives, they just protect your head.

But anyway, its not even hari raya, and all these accidents are happening. I can't imagine what it would be like during raya. Anyway kids, remember to drive safely!

When weeks become routine. This was the main reason I am blogging today. I noticed that each Monday has become like the last Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and so on. So I decided to blog about my week- what I've been doing everyday for the past few months..haha

Monday- Wake up at about 10-11, depending on what time I slept the night before. Go on the pc, surf around, listen to music, get ready for uni, drive to uni, have class. After class I go for dinner, and then go back home. At home I go on the computer or do my work, do the laundry sometime in between and then more pc/work, talk on the phone with Raelene (this happens alot :P), and then go to sleep

Tuesday- Wake up at about 10-11 as well, go on the pc, and check for Prison Break torrents. Surf around, listen to music, get ready for uni, drive to uni, have class. After class I go for dinner, and go back home. At home, if prison break was downloaded successfully, I watch it then work/pc, laundry, work/pc, phone, sleep.

Wednesday- If I didn't watch prison break on tuesday, I wake up extra early- 7am- on Wednesdays to watch it before I head off to class. Go to class, (usually get caught in the morning jam) have class, have lunch, sit around and talk in the cafeteria, then go off. Usually I go out with Raelene, but that changed this week when I stayed back in uni to work instead. After uni, I go pick my little sister from school, take her for dinner, go back home. Depending on my mood I either- go out with my friends or go out for a game of Magic at Amcorp Mall. Since I'm free on Thursdays. I have also spent time at home doing work + laundry instead. Then phone, and sleep.

Thursday- I wake up late. Laze about in front of the pc. Maybe do some work. Go out. Cell group in the evening occupies the rest of the night. Come home 11-ish and usually go online. Phone, then sleep.

Friday- I wake up early morning, get ready for uni, go to uni, have class. Have lunch, have class, go out with Raelene (or friends) till 11, pick my little sister up from badminton training, go home, do laundry, maybe go online, phone, sleep.

Saturday- Wake up late (usually), maybe do some work, go on the pc, drive my sister out (if she needs me to drive her), sometimes I play magic, depending on my mood, but usually I end up going to pasar malam/ out somewhere else or at home on the pc or something. Might do laundry, phone, sleep.

Sunday- Wake up, go to church, have lunch, find something to do till 6, pick up my sister from badminton training, go for dinner, come back home. Do work/pc, laundry, work/pc, phone, sleep.

For the past few months, every different day has been almost a copy of the previous day. One day I'm just gonna do something totally different. Haha. George, out.

Today was a pretty interesting day.
I woke up with a pretty hot dream (lol) fresh on my mind.
I went to class, and first thing Lynndy said to me- "George, you cut your hair didn't you?" Me-"No?!" She said "It looks good" Me- *blush*
lol..just kidding about the blushing part :p

Later in the day, I actually get quite a bit of work done in class..which is amazing, cos Monday's the day I usually relax in class (I turn into a super nerd and read MTG articles online).

After class, me, Lynndy, Rachel, Jakk and Zandra just stood in the plaza just talking. I think we talked for about 45 minutes. We were just standing and talking! Haha..I don't know why we did that, but it was fun :)

I left college and headed to Ampang Point for dinner..when suddenly the whole place just blacked out! I think that was the second time I experienced a black out while in a shopping mall..too bad I wasn't in a stealing mood. haha (I never steal!)

Came back home, showered, scanned my work again* while waiting for the washing machine. After drying the clothes I painted a drawing I did, and now I'm blogging, just before I start on more work.

*- yesterday I deleted all my work. HAHA I know it sounds idiotic because it IS. I can't believe even I was capable of such stupidity..Last night I held shift and dragged some stuff into the recycle bin. I didn't realize that my folder containing my work was being dragged as well. When you hold down 'shift' and use the bin, it deletes everything without using the bin. This is one of the times a shortcut has screwed me over. haha.. I tried using the windows xp system restore, but it was useless! Damn.. For the past 2 weeks I worked at Giant, Batu Caves, promoting Nestle ice-cream. The job really sucked. Promoting potato chips was alot more fun..and less tiring as well. While the job sucked, the experience was pretty great. I made quite a few new friends on the job, and they made the place fun :)

But my job- oh man, it sucked. Imagine bending over every few seconds to pick up a cup to scoop ice cream into it..by the end of the first day, I felt like I needed a back operation!

Anyway, like my previous job, I learnt quite a few things..

Old men still wanna have fun-
When I was walking around the store room in the supermarket, these grown man were slapping each other's asses, joking about and just having fun. I was thinking to myself "what the..?" I thought all the 'fun-genes' would be weeded out when people grew up! I guess not. :)

Little girls are perceptive-
I was promoting ice-cream to this family in English, when the mother of the family started asking me questions in Chinese. Then her daughter, this adorable little girl starts telling her mother, in Chinese- "Don't speak to him in Chinese, he can't speak Chinese!" I was like "WTF?! how the hell did she know?!" haha.. I just smiled at her, and she smiled back.. it was a pretty funny moment.

So the other day I was talking with my cell group leader, and he was asking me to participate more in church activities. He wanted me to be involved with serving the ministry, and maybe become a leader one day.

So I was messaging TJ the other day- "I think my cg leader wants me to be a leader"
And he replied "good, then you can lead them all to their doom"

That was basically a LOL moment for me.

Anyways, been busy doing work as usual..nothing out of the ordinary. My life has turned into one big boring mess. I can't wait till the holidays..hopefully I get holidays! I don't wanna be employed straight away :p

Time Spiral pre-release is coming up and I am sold! Man, its like playing magic all over again! They're brining back mechanics from the era that I started playing, and they're bringing back the ones that I missed when I stopped as well! /geek

I have a new idea for a blog, but it shall wait till I move to xen0s.org..which won't be anytime soon..(haha sorry Seng Yip, I just have no time!) speaking of which, AgGr3sS0r oWn3d a couple of weeks ago.. haha

Wow, this is hard..I mean I could just wish for 'a genie who would grant me any wish I wanted, anytime' and I would have found a loophole :P but you ask 'had'..so I'll answer the things I wanted in the past.

3. A better complexion, hairstyle, fashion-sense etc, back in school (not to say that I'm James Dean now but) I'm sure it would've helped me with my confidence/socializing skills back then (which I still kinda lack now)
2. A sense of direction when I was choosing my subjects for Year 10-11 and after I graduated..because I really had no idea what I wanted to do back then, and after graduating high school, I still had no clear idea what I wanted to do (hence me taking (and wasting money on) A-Levels)..but then again, if I didn't spend my 1.5 years in Taylors, life would've turned out much much differently. (Just think about it- let's say you left home and got into a car accident on a highway. Now imagine if you left your home ONE MINUTE later. Safe to say, you would've probably avoided the accident. Now try living life again, and changing a key aspect of your life- things would've turned out very very different :))
1. An interest in cars at an earlier age. I was 5 when my dad got the Celica..how was I to know that I would be driving it 16 years later?! hahaha..

You know, sometimes you just lose the spirit to blog..
..I haven't. It's just that I've been way too busy with too many things, namely assignments and going out. I just haven't had the time to sit down to write something meaningful down. I have tonnes of ideas all saved in my handphone, but yeah, whatever :p

I still don't have time, so I'll just leave you guys with an image..it's just some pre-production sketches of my upcoming experimental animation, titled "Steve". Let's hope I finish this one on time and graduate :)

So, I watched snakes on a plane the other day and it was a pretty enjoyable film. Definitely overrated by the internet community, but nevertheless an enjoyable movie. I have quite a few things to pick at the whole plot though..and I felt it had too much of a feel good ending (it was originally intended to be PG-13) which should have been changed when they re-shot it.

The Cobra Starship video during the credits was a pleasant suprise. I had never listended to the song before the credits and I was wondering what the hell Travis from Gym Class Heroes was doing in it! When it kicked into the pre-chorus, I thought the voice of the girl sounded really familiar.. turned out she was Maja from The Sounds!
Did some googling on them and found out that they are an all-star group- lead singer from Midtown (now disbanded), another singer from The Academy Is.., vocalist from The Sounds and the rapper from Gym Class Heroes. But anyways, I've put the youtube video above, so you can listen to them. I've been listening to them pretty much non-stop since I downloaded it- it has my seal of 'repeatable'!

Yesterday night I was at Bangkok Jazz with a whole bunch of people. Anyways, Ferhan, TJ and I were supposed to be winging for SY while he did his work, but things didn't go as well as planned..the whole thing felt like 2 separate groups of people sharing the same table..there wasn't much interaction as a whole group which was quite weird..the end of the night felt like a normal night out (with me, fer, tj, sy) with another group of people having a 'blog-meet' (whatever the term is :P) nevertheless it was pretty fun. I put on a moustache that night and SY wore a big hat..I looked like a freak haha..

The other day I recieved an sms from Ruzainah (an ex-classmate of mine whom I had not spoken to for a long, long time..) asking me if I wanted to meet her, Wendi and Ni-Tsia (here you go, your special mention!) for dinner at bangsar. And she asked me to bring Seng Yip along. I told him about the reunion and he agreed to go, so tada!

Anyways, it was a blast just talking and reminiscing about the past. One of my favorite things to do :)

I'm in my computer lab now, and for some reason, snow patrol's 'run' is stuck in my head..and I haven't even listened to the song in weeks! All that's been going through my playlist lately has been Saosin, Saosin, Saosin, Circa Survive, Saosin :)

Haven't been blogging lately cos..well, I just haven't.
As usual, the usual stuff is happening. Been working on assignments(must..not..let..them..stack!), going out with Raelene, friends, etc.

Other things which have happened recently-
My car broke down..like totally. Like Takumi in Initial-D broke down. And now it needs a new engine..shit. I think it might be time for the car to go :/
I was driving to KL the other night, and my car started making the same rattling noises that it always makes when it is overheating. So I looked at the car thermometer- the needle was pointing way beyond maximum. Fuck! I quickly signalled left to pull over at a petrol station. My engine died halfway and the brakes locked (my car's brakes lock whenever the engine is off- even if the car is still moving..it is a safety feature which doesn't work too well IMHO..but anyway I didn't design it), and I managed to maneuver the car to the petrol station without hitting anything/anyone and stopped the car using the emergency hand brake.
To cut the boring story short, after waiting for the car to cool down and refilling the radiator with water, I tried starting the car. The car started and died a few seconds later. Repeated ignitions did nothing to help my car stay alive. A quick check to the back showed that the exhaust pipe was spitting out water. Alot of water. Apparently the water had flowed into the engine and mixed with the engine oil and killed the engine. So now I have no car, and transport is a bitch.

Other exciting things in my life- nothing. haha. I started playing DOTA, much to the dismay of my friends :p don't worry guys, you'll join me soon!
This Sunday is the Magic: The Gathering National Qualifiers (cardboard + sausage fest), and I'll be attending it. Hopefully I'll do well. Who am I kidding? haha..I'll try my best anyway. Everyone can dream of representing Malaysia at Paris right?

Yesterday I opened my first bank account! Haha! Now I can finally cash in cheques! I have an ATM card too! Can't wait till I start pulling money out of a machine.

The other day I was at Sungei Wang, and as I was going into the toilet, this white girl came out and started complaining to her friend. It was funny as hell! She started saying something along the lines of, "First I have to pay for going into the toilet and next I have to pay for the tissue! You have to pay for every damn thing in this country!" I didn't finish listening to her complain but according to my sister who was waiting outside, she could hear her complaining till she walked out of earshot! She mentioned stuff like "what if I just want to go in to change my tampon? They don't do this in the states!" Funny shit :)

Today was the last day of work for me, and when it was time for me to go, it felt like a voting result episode of some reality tv show. And I was the one who was voted out. Some people were disappointed that I was leaving (i.e. those who curi'ed-makan chips from me). My superiors were smiling at me the whole day, as if they were happy that I was leaving them soon. (Were they the ones who voted me off??)

It has been a great experience working there but I don't plan on returning anytime soon- classes have begun, and it's time to focus 100% on my experimental animation. :)

I learnt that alot of people can shop for fun. I mean I've seen customers who have hung around Giant for more than an hour! They just go around the aisles checking each product they come across, comparing them, going to the next shelf, and repeating the same process again. People find joy in strange things!

I noticed that alot of people care about the price more than the taste of the chips. Alot of customers who thought the chips tasted great ended up not buying anything because of its price. "But Mr. Potato is cheaper!" Well, I guess you can't please everyone.

"I only have 2 eyes, and if you keep waving that stick, you'll spoil one of them and I won't be able to see properly anymore!"

Today was my 2nd last day at work..it went pretty well..met a few interesting customers-

the funniest customer I've ever had so far- was this old Indian man. I approached him and asked if he would like to try some chips. He laughed and said "I have no teeth to eat this food!" and he smiled me a one-toothed smile. Yes, he only had one tooth in his mouth. LOL

I had the most interesting chat with a customer today, a young 7 year old boy named *drumroll* TJ! He came to me about half an hour after I gave him some chips and he started talking to me. He asked where the chips were from, how were they made, who are they sold to etc..I found out that he was studying in a Chinese school..I asked him what subjects he was learning and he replied "Maths, English, Chinese, Computers, English Science, Chinese Science.." and I was like "whoa! you have 2 English AND Chinese Science?" and he said "yes". I was thinking to myself how crazy it must be like to be in a Chinese school! Science in 2 languages at the age of 7! I asked him what he would like to be when he grew up, and he said "doctor, astronaut and the other one..art-man!". I said "you mean artist?", he replied "yes!". Funny :) after awhile, his mother came and he went off with her.

There was a HB7 with braces today! ahahahaha..and a HB8 who gave IOIs :P

Last day of work tomorrow..school has been pretty interesting. Have to come up with an idea for my experimental soon..

So, classes have started!
..and life is still boring.

The other day I was talking to Raelene- I said that my life actually very boring. I just make my life sound interesting in my blog. She called me pretentious.

Anyway, I haven't been using the computer much..and you'll never guess why!

Cos my mom has been hogging the pc. Yes, its true. She's online more than me and my sisters combined..and the worse part is, I'm sure almost all of you have experienced this. Teaching your own parents how to use the computer- it is not a walk in the park..the countless times you have to go over the same basic steps..which they forget the next day..and considering how easy it is to download malicious software nowadays, now is not a good time for n00bs to be using the internet. Really.

The other day it was hotmail. Then gmail. And Ares galaxy. Today it was youtube. Next she wants to learn how to download movies! I mean, come on! Just stick to email and MSN! leave the pc to me...

Am I being selfish? I don't know, I just lack the patience when it comes to teaching..I guess I'm not cut to be a teacher. I can be pretty patient when it comes to other things, but teaching's a bitch.

If someone looks familiar- they probably are familiar. One of the worst things you can do is approach the same person..twice..they seem to get annoyed.
But I found a way around it- you could tell them the truth "I have very bad memory" which transalates to "I'm stupid" or "I've been standing here for the past few hours and I've seen over a hundred faces" transalates to "You're not good looking enough for me to remember"- just tell them "it doesn't hurt to try again, doesn't it?"

Met a few interesting people today. One white man asked me where the chips were from- "Same factory as Mr. Potato?" LOL..Another lady asked me how much I got per day and asked me if I had commission. "If you had comission, I would buy some!"

One man seemed impressed with my skills. He introduced himself as a supplier, and asked for my phone number as he was looking for promoters. Let's hope he doesn't call me up for lunch (lol@Sam).

Tips: if the kids like it, they will usually whine till their parents give in..this usually happens with groups of more than 3 kids.

Indians seem to know where the alcohol is all the time- I've seen so many men come in, head to the liqor store, and walk out with a bottle of cheap alcohol in their hand.

Quite a few Indians seemed to be in relationships of mixed races. I've seen Indians with Malays, Chinese, foreigners etc, but rarely Malays with Chinese, Malays with expats, and vice-versa.

Not to be racist or anything, but I mention alot of Indians only because alot of them shop at the Giant where I work at.

The more you check your time, the slower it becomes. I'm serious! The opposite happens when you are in a rush though.

Is this a new trend? I've seen quite a few couples with adopted black African kids..it seems everyone wants to be Angelina Jolie.

Today was my first day at work. And boy does it suck to stand and walk around for like 8 hours in a row. Anyways, work was an interesting experience :) You meet tonnes of people. So on the train back, I started writing down this blog post-

The kind of people you meet at work.

There's the people who speak their mind. They're not afraid, they'll give feedback, they are responsive. They tell you if they like something or not. I like these kinds of people, their comments are usually interesting.

An example would be a woman who complained that the chips were too salty. Another one who mentioned that it must contain alot of MSG- just because it was from Japan.

I noticed that quite a few Indians were vegetarians. They would ask me if something was vegetarian. I had like 3 vegan customers today. Vegans all look different. I never knew they could be fat..maybe they were converts.

One Indian lady found it to be too spicy. Hilarious, considering how it is normal for Indians to love spicy food. Even I, someone who can only take the mildest of chillies, found the chips to be pretty tame.

Then there are the people who make funny comments to make your day brighter.
One father was like "If I buy this, I won't even get to eat it- my kids who love this stuff will eat it all up before me!"

Another one was like "I made up this saying- Chips go (straight) to your hips!" That was an LOL moment.

Quite a large number of girls, and even 1 guy, said that chips were fattening and that they had to stay away from them.

And almost everyone is a LIAR! Out of alot of "I'll come back later"s (+ variations i.e. "I'll ask my mom"), only ONE person actually returned!

Alot of people shake their head, wave their hands, without a word to brush me off.
Alot of people just acted as if I wasn't there.
A few people came and tried some chips without saying a word.

One of my weirdest experiences was with this TALL dude. He was like 6'5" or something. He towered over me and started eating chip after chip, not saying a word, just munching and munching. After awhile I asked him "so do you want to buy some?" He just grabbed more chips, muttered some words, contemplated buying, and then walked off. Strange boy.

I think I said "Good afternoon, thanks, thank you, and welcome" about 1000 times today.

My legs hurt.

The staff eat alot of my chips. I didn't even take a single piece the whole day.

There were no HB10s :(

I have no game anyway.

Hope nothing goes wrong tomorrow.

A couple of weeks ago, I had my first (ever) job interview..I really had no idea what to expect, never being in an interview for a job before..

Win Yew took me to this place in KL, an agency who were hiring promotors/sellers..since I don't mind getting extra cash, I figured I would give working a try.

At the interview, a lady just asked me to fill up a form and tell her about myself. So I did that, and then she asked me more questions about preferred working locations and times and other stuff, and it was over. I was told that I would be called if there were any jobs for me.

When I do get some experiences, I'll be sure to post them up!

I think I have a new favorite song. "I Can Tell There Was An Accident Here Earlier" by Saosin is fucking amazing! I've been listening to it non-stop, and it's just mind blowing..though its impossible to hear what he's saying if you don't read the lyrics, you can just sense the emotion through the melody and the way he sings and screams..if you haven't heard it, go listen to it now! You won't regret it..

I just got back from college camp, and it wasn't half the nightmare it initially turned out to be..but it was nowhere near fantastic..high school camps were way more fun..I kept a journal throughout the camp and I'll just type it out here.

Day 1 - Friday - 6.54pm
- Monkey playing drums- noisy.
- Rap songs suck.
- We're waiting for our dinner. After being forced to do child labour.
Horrible, horrible.
- Tonnes of weird people..we don't really get along..except (with) nobody.
- Ms. Boy (names changed to not offend anybody :P) is an asshole. She tried to be funny with us. But she won't succeed.
- Me and Burrows (Burrows being Win Yew) did PI today. Sawing stuff.
- Looking for a way to escape from this prison.
- How ironic- we wake up extra early to help- in the end we pay more, we do more work, we get bored and pushed around. Let's hope things get much much much much much better.

Day 1 - Friday - 11.10pm
- In the ~~dorm~~ gen pop. Full of convicts.
- there is a dude with a 'HTML' shirt. I don't think I'm ever gonna wear that shirt anymore. Seriously. Well this dude wears his sunglasses indoors, on his head. The bane of my existence. (He is later sabo'ed by some other convicts..lol)
- Every joke we make now is related to prison breal- just naming people after how they look.
- Everyone's a convict
- Met a new guy. His name is Rum..I'm Whiskey.

- Woke up tired.
- Had a crappy breakfast- bread, kaya, butter, sausage, beans.
- Sittin in the hall now..listening to speaker preaching.

- Had dinner earlier. Bad food. haha.

- We leave in the morning.
- Made new friends on the last night..haha..if only it was earlier.
- Had a shit load of laughter.
- Spent the whole night just talking and stuff.
- End.

As you can see, bad food was the talk of the day. They day started getting better after the games group, and after dinner when me and Burrows got to know a group of dudes who had similar interests, and were on the same wavelength. A few of them watched prison break- out of like 10 people we asked, there were only like 3 people who serioulsy watched it (one of them was a pastor :D). This is insane, more people should watch this show! You learn so much by watching it- Chemistry, Physics, Architecture, Weapon skills, Hitching girls, etc. haha..

I didn't write anymore after the morning journal as the whole of the next day was just packed with things to do. So I'll just end with some photographs. Quiz postponed to next post because this post is long enough as it is :)

Yesterday night I was at the Singapore/KL showdown at Jam Asia, and I've discovered another local band that I like! Amazing! They're called 'Caught In The Silence' and you can check them out on myspace. The other bands were okay..I couldn't hear much of the vocals throughout the whole night (same thing happened last time I was at Jam Asia as well so I guess it must be Jam Asia's problem). The headlining band, Calerway, from Perth were pretty good. They played really a energetic, upbeat set which had everyone dancing. Other bands weren't much to scream about..overall I'd rate the show 6.7/10..Would've been much better if it started on time (as usual, Malaysian time) and if it were just 2 bands..haha

In less than 24 hours, I'll be heading to Genting..for my first ever youth church college camp..wow, it's been ages since I've been to one of these things..surpising huh? I bet nobody thought I'd ever be going to a church camp..haha..I'll be away till Sunday, so no updates till then (as if I update much in the first place)..Ironically I'm not bringing a bible- I don't have one with me now..so I'll be bible-less in a holy place. Amen :p

Today, was the third time I've ever won a radio contest. I've only entered three radio contests so far. :P

The previous two were a long time ago when there was such a thing as wow fm..the one that played good music..I used to stay up weekdays listening to the latest rock tracks, and on the weekends, the rap stuff.. The first contest I entered, I won an autographed 'Phat family compilation'. It had everyone's signature on it..it was a pretty kick ass prize (for a rap fan back then :P). The second contest I won was also on wow fm, but they never delivered my cd. Oh well, they closed down shortly after that..I swear I had nothing to do with it!

Today I was waiting in the car at my sister's school (because I had to send her home..I'm her driver) listening to Light and Easy, and the dj announced that the ticket window for 'The lady in the water' was open and that the first caller to get through with the password 'the lady in the water' would win 4 tickets.

I quickly punched into my handphone the numbers that he announced and pressed dial.
The phone started ringing. It wasn't engaged! One yay for me.
Then it kept ringing. I started to think 'Did I get the right number?'
It continued ringing. 'I hope I didn't call the wrong radio station..or somebody's house?'

'Hello?' the familiar voice of the dj answered.
'Hi!' I replied.
'When was the last time you won something on Light and Easy?'
'This is my first time!'
'Well congratulations..bla bla bla..what's the password?'
'The lady in the water.'
'Correct!....'

And I proceed to give him my details. And now, you are reading the blog of 'George from Ampang' the dude who won 4 tickets to catch the lady in the water..I think it'll be screened before the official release date, so HAHA!

This post will be unorganized, because I am unorganized.

On Thursday I watched Pirates 2 and it was so-so..is it me or are movies not as good as they were before? There was alot going on at once, funny moments (which half of them were spoiled by the trailer) and a cliff hanger ending (which I didn't expect because I thought part 3 would be 'on its own')..kiera has funny teeth, and the movie started to get draggy towards the end. Overall I'd give it 6.8/10. Let's hope part 3 doesn't suck.. I mean it has Chow Yun Fatt right? haha..

Earlier in the week I watched 'Just My Luck'..which starred the oh-not-so-adorable Lindsay Lohan..I'm not a fan of hers..They should have entitled it 'The Mc Fly Movie' cos that what the whole movie seemed to be about! Maybe I'm just expecting too much..no I'm not. HAHA.. If you're under 16, this movie is probably for you (if you're under 16, you shouldn't be reading my blog anyway, it's a bad influence!) The movie was predictable, and there was nothing special or interesting about it..best part of the movie would be.. I don't know..the introduction credits were nicely done..haha I'd give it a 4/10

On Friday I watched 'The Ice Harvest'..The last (and probably only, if I recall correctly) John Cusack movie I watched was 'Serendipity' which was quite good (Kate Beckinsale ftw!).. 'The Ice Harvest' started off pretty nicely, but halfway into the film it started becoming 'normal'..the jokes were there, but the story seemed to have lost its initial kick..anyway, it was an okay movie, I'd give it a 6/10.

I've been watching 'Prison Break' for the past few days, and man it is AWESOME. Through the roof, mind blowing, ass-kicking, genius, amazing..everything! Definitely on my list of 'must watch' tv series..I haven't seen the whole of the first season yet, but I hope it ends as well as it flows..the characters and cast are just brilliant..Mike is one hell of a genius and a kick-ass tattoo..Bellick is an asshole, and so is T-Bag (I actually pitied Abruzzi when he got slashed).. If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do! Well watching it with Win Yew also created some new disturbances- he's now obsessed with trying to hold my pocket. LOL

Now off the screen and onto some music-

I've listened to The Early November's latest release (the 3CD) 'The mother, the mechanic, and the path' and it is great! Ever since their last release 'The room's too cold' I've been eagerly anticipating for more TEN, and this does not disappoint..at all. 3CDs worth of goodness. The first disc is full of pop-punk/emo music- alot of great hooks and catchy melodies, the second is more laid back (mostly) acoustic songs and the third disc is a story with lyrics narrated and sang..loads of weird stuff going on, including trumpets..I haven't read the lyrics yet, so I'm not sure what the story is about (I know there's an abandoned child who was raised by his grandparents instead of his parents..and I forgot the rest :P) I'm sure there's gonna be online sites discussing it and theories about it (like AFI's music) anyways, do check them out if you're looking for an amazing 3 disc album.. I'd give it a 8.8/10

Been listening to Jimmy Eat World 'Futures' again, and I'm falling in love with the album again..it's so damn good! Almost every song on it is my favorite song :p If you haven't heard '23' yet, go shoot yourself, then listen to it in the after life (I told you this site was not for kids under 16).. I love this album, Jimmy Eat World, please come to Malaysia! I'd rate it a 9/10.

Listening to Jimmy Eat World - The World You Love

Last night's match was exhilirating! To everybody who disagreed with me- "I told you so!" I mean considering that Italy have only conceded a single goal before they met France at the finals, what made you think they sucked? When Italy equalized, I just had a feeling that they were going to win.. Then when Zidane decided to go apeshit on Materazzi, he practically threw the game away for the French.. With that match being the last match of his career as well, what was he thinking? It reminded me of Tyson biting off an ear..except this one was damn funny! Here's a youtube video- for all those who didn't catch it, you have to watch it!

I hope it gets parodied in Scary Movie 5!

Anyway, the penalty shoot out was nail biting, with Trezeguet blowing their chance and Grosso nailing the fifth consecutive goal. Everyone played pretty well, and Buffon just knows how to save balls, it's crazy. I expected Zidane to come out guns blazing and offing everyone during the ceremony- it would have been like a movie.. the greatest show on earth!

I've been away from the blogging world, doing everything but blogging..
Watched movies, read books, went out, played games, watched football, ate, shit, slept :) oh, and I've been drawing! *gasp*

So anyways, I give short reviews of stuff that I've watched/read/experienced recently

I watched 'Superman Returns' the other day..it was pretty boring..3 hours of nothing really..there's hardly any action, the camera moves so slowly, there's nothing to keep you wanting more..the best part of the movie was in the trailer, when Lex Luthor says 'WRONG!!!' it never fails to bring a smile to my face :D I'd give it a 4.5/10.. I never saw what was so magnificent about x-men that they had to hire bryan singer to do this..

I watched 'Corpse Bride' and I felt that it was underrated? People kept telling me it was bad, but I thought it was good..the jokes were hilarious, and the music was great, animation was amazing..I'd give this movie a 8/10, another Tim Burton masterpiece.

I watched the Miri school girls fighting, and I felt that it was pretty sickening..no really, I'd rank it just below a BMEvideo (and trust me, you don't wanna see one).. I mean what's wrong these people (girls)- I don't know..I can't really say how I feel about it, except that I didn't enjoy watching the girl getting beat up..and how those guys just stood there, not doing anything..I'd give it a 0/10.

I watched the Thrice dvd- If Only We Could See Us Now, and man IT IS GOOD. For any Thrice fan- this dvd is awesome. It tells everything about the band, from their beginning back in High School till their 2nd latest record.. Tonnes of hilarious footage- Thrice are damn funny guys- watch out for Teppei's impersonation of James Hetfield.. Great insight into the band's music and growth.. One of my favorite quotes (went something like-) "We learnt that music wasn't just about shredding" -from Teppei, which was quite a statement, considering that one of their best albums (IMO) was Identity Crisis, which was all about shredding :) anyways, I'd rate it a 9/10, a must-see for Thrice fans.

I read 'The Game' and I recommend it for any aspiring PUA (pick up artist) :p if you haven't got it already..it's very interesting and well written..stories that will keep you glued to the book and techniques which can help you in your 'game'..I'd give the book a 8/10

I read 'The Anarchist's Cookbook' and it is CRAZY. The stuff inside is just..wrong? I have no way to describe it in one word. This book teaches you everything- from making bombs (did you know that dry ice in paint works??), picking locks, stealing cars, breaking into houses, hacking, tapping into phone lines etc.. no wonder it was banned in the states..

I finished playing Half Life 2 : Episode 1, and it was pretty good..don't expect anything much out of it, it's just more Half Life 2 (which is a good and bad thing)..I'd give it a 7/10, the original Half Life 2 was much better :)

I've been listening to quite a few new bands and albums, and so far 2006 has been a great year for music..my favorite albums of the year so far (in no particular order)
1. Louder Now by Taking Back Sunday (Raelene bought me their CD from her holiday in Australia :))
2. Liberation Transmission by Lostprophets
3. The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch by Cute Is What We Aim For
4. The Inevitability Of A Strange World by Halifax
5. If Only You Were Lonely by Hawthorne Heights

and I expect more good music by the end of the year :)

James, host of our weekly cell group meetings had a farewell dinner at Madam Kwan's in mega mall..had a really fun time joking around the whole dinner..food was pretty good and filling (I had some Indonesian rice + beef rendang + chicken drumstick + asam prawns..I forgot the name of the dish). I went out with Fragrant..it wasn't the best date in the world..nothing went to plan, and it was a let down..but I'm glad she understands! :P We caught a movie- Stay Alive- nothing much to say about it..I had hoped it would be better..it was quite short, and ended quite badly IMO, but overall it wasn't too bad..I'd give it a 6.5-7/10..had dinner at 'dragon i' which wasn't worth the money I paid for it :/ cold noodles aren't the way to go! but the dishes were quite good..

This morning, I went to SSG to help my sister man her stall at their International Day/Food Fiesta..we took care of the Coconut game stall- drink a coconut in 10 seconds or less and win points to take part in the lucky draw..it was pretty fun, and her stall was so successful- we managed to sell all our 50 coconuts before even half the day was over! After that I explored around abit and then spent the rest of the day manning the lucky draw/gift redemption tables..it was a pretty fun experience, made me wish I took part in the mufti day comittee of my own school! I even met up with the infamous Su Ann for like 1 minute :p After that, I went for FNM (went 2-1) and got a haircut..came back home, went out for dinner with seng yip, and now I'm blogging!

For the past 2 days, I've been busy cleaning up the house..finally, it is clean!

One thing that bugs me is how my mom is more concerned with my room's appearance than I am.. I mean, I'm the one sleeping/changing/living in it..not her..it's not like I tell her to clean her room up!

Anyway, I threw out a tonne of stuff from my room- old A-level notes (I have no idea why I even kept them..maybe I had hopes of someday returning to studying science :/), old photographs (its always a blast to go through these :)), old books, drawings and stuff like that..

My room's now a nicer looking place (not that it didn't look nice before tha..lol)

So staying at home is quite fun at times..no it isn't..(I miss you, Raelene)..I've been reading some Judge Dredd comics..finished catching up 'The Last Man'- this comic deserves a post of its own, it is damn good, go look for it if you're looking for a good comic to read..other reccomendations: 'The Exterminators' and 'American Virgin', also by Vertigo comics.

Whenever the clock hits- 11:11- make a wish, it's a magical number! Me, SY, Ferhan, TJ and Hijjas have experienced the power of the wish! What do you mean George? Let me tell you what happened..

The other night, Hijjas had to reach the LRT station before it closed (at 11.30), so we left the restaurant at about 11.00..then later in the car, Seng Yip noticed the clock was 11:11, so he said 'make a wish!' and Hijjas wished that he would be able to reach the train station before 11.30 and go home on it (instead of using expensive cabs). Ferhan, TJ and Seng Yip wished that he wouldn't be able to, but I helped Hijjas with my wish.

At 11:27, I dropped him off at the LRT station..and the lights were still on and there were people waiting for the train, so we were quite relieved that he managed to reach it on time, and we felt that the wish actually came true. We left the station laughing about it.

The next day we found out that Hijjas was on time for the train, but the train broke down, and so he had to take a cab in the end. We laughed about it again. haha..

So from the above experience, we figured the rules for wishing-
1) You have to wish out loud
2) Majority wins- if there are a few people wishing, you have to wish for the same thing, if not it won't come true (maybe the wishmaster is a democrat)
3) I doubt you could wish for the world to end, but try not wasting your wishes on something outrageous, it probably won't come true

Seng Yip and Ferhan seem to be the ones who always notice that the time is 11:11..me on the other hand always seems to spot 11:34, which upside down spells hEll.. haha happy wishing!

I think I had a dream where I woke up and had the thought that I was going to marry Jennifer Love Hewitt (Hexitt was a typo) 25th of May, on my blog was another 'non-update' post..so I don't really remember much about it.

I remember writing that when I was out with Raelene, and, yes, she was shopping for shoes :p I mean, everytime I go into a shoe shop, its filled with customers! Seriously, how many pairs of shoes do you need?? I have 3 pairs of shoes and I think it's just enough..what do you people do with old shoes? stop wearing them? how often do you change shoes? blablabla..lol..anyways sneakers ftw, they match almost everything. Almost.

I've been out the busy for the past few days, hence the lack of updates

On Sunday I went for Regionals KL, and did okay..most importantly I had fun :) met new people, made good plays, made bad plays, made good trades, won a few packs..

Got home and went straight to bed.
Monday- didn't do much till night time when TJ came over and we went to the cybercafe at night and played CS
Tuesday- Win Yew came over and we went to the cyber cafe again.. looks like we're getting back into Counter-Strike

Raelene went off to Australia today :( these 8 days are going to seem forever, I'm missing you already...

On Thursday, I went to the KLCC aquaria with Raelene.. it was actually pretty fun.. worth the 20 bucks (if you have mykad and a student id.. its rm 38 for non-mykad holders haha)

Its kinda like the one in Singapore- just smaller..pretty fancy, and quite well designed..just not too many different fishes though..

My holidays have begun.
Man it is great!

On the last day of semester, Jakk, Kit Wai, Lynndy, and I went up to Genting Highlands to celebrate the commencement of our semester break :)

Anyways, we had tonnes of fun there..describing in detail would only bore you..and so might pictures, but since I took pictures and didn't keep a diary, I'll post pictures instead

Grand Prix : Kuala Lumpur 2006

On Saturday I went for my first ever Grand Prix which was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, and it was great! Along with me came Ferhan and Hijjas. Despite achieving poor results (I went 4-4 haha) we had tonnes of fun. Met alot of great players and learnt abit from them.. I won't go into a tournament recap, but any mtg players interested can send me an email or something.

Highlights of the event:
- Our head judge was a Taiwanese dude, and he spoke English with the funniest accent ever!! Like straight out of a Russel Peters show, he didn't even have to say anything funny, it was funny as hell! haha "35 dollar!"
- Seeing a whole bunch of pros at the event! All the big Japanese stars were there! Katsuhiro Mori, Tsuyoshi Fujita, Takuya Osawa and Kenji Tsumura- who took the throphy home.
- Getting cards signed by R.K. Post! I also bought a book of his artwork, which was autographed as well.

And according to the final standings, I was ranked 174 out of 318..haha..Ferhan got 201 and Hijjas 270..may we all improve the next time around!

Finally.
The day we have been waiting all semester for.

Today marked the last day of our semester. After 14 weeks of working our asses off, we had our final presentation today. Everybody's PSA (that's Public Service Announcement for you n00bs) rocked, we all deserve Academy Awards. lol
I'll upload ours (me and liz's) to youtube when i compress it, probably sometime around next week..(next few days are going to be busy for me..more on that later)

Anyhow, you can't really tell, but I'm actually beaming from ear to ear..kinda..I'm so happy we've finally made it through. Sometime during production (around week 9) I was scared that my group would never finish our PSA on time, but lo and behold, we managed to pull off a miracle..including a major last minute change (backgrounds) the day before we finalized it. All in all, it's been a great experience, and I've learnt so much in such a short period of time, it's crazy. I have like 300% more knowledge than I did last sem.

Besides the PSA, we had other assignments to do- a life drawing piece where we had to combine an animal with a human being. The medium was charcoal, which was something I sucked at, I never practiced, and I hadn't touched since foundation 2 years ago..suprisingly, my final piece rocked pretty hard. haha..for some reason I improved tremendously.. as you can tell from the pictures:

..at bullshitting..not really.. An unrelated incident- I was at China Town with Raelene and we were go back to the car, so while walking past some shops, I accidentally knocked a t-shirt off a rack. Being the polite boy I am, I picked it up and put it back on the rack. The store owner, ~~an ah beng~~ a chinese boy, stopped me and told me off about dropping the shirt. He was complaining that now it was dirty, nobody was going to buy the shirt from him (the shirt was fugly in the first place, and nobody would've bought it even if it was clean) so I apologized to him, but he said it won't do. He kept demanding that I buy the shirt off him. The arguement kept going on, till he said 'so if I slap you, I can say sorry lah?' I was like 'wtf?! it's not the same thing!' then Raelene decided that we should buy the shirt instead..and so that's how I lost 15 bucks and have an ugly shirt that I will never wear, lying around in my room..anybody want a fake MTV shirt? haha..

back on track, I had a 15 page report for History of animation as well, and much love to Daryl for helping me (and like half the class? haha) with like 70% of the research, you are an awesome boy :D I hope you get an A for it..

I watched X-men 3 today, and it was okay..if you liked the previous two, you'll probably like it..it's just as good as its predecessors..nothing fantastic, nothing bad..oh stay after the credits for a 5 sec clip..and if you missed it, just ask me and I'll tell you what happens..

Withness the biggest cover up in human history..

Ever since the movie was announced a couple of years ago, it has been on the top of my 'movies that I NEED to watch' list. Today, I can write it off that list.

I watched The Da Vinci Code today and I gotta say- it wasn't awesome. Nothing close. I guess you could always say it was just another case of high expectations..but then again, with such a great book, what else could you expect? Nothing less. I haven't watched any of Ron Howard's previous films (a quick check on IMDB.com showed him as more of a tv actor than director). Before this movie, he was unknown to me. So I have no idea why he was chosen to do this. I came up with a possible explanation- nobody else dared to make this movie in fear of screwing it up, so this guy got the chance to direct it. I've been a huge fan of the book, and so my review might be biased. Speak up if you disagree!

Onto the movie. The introduction, one of the most important elements of a good movie was horribly done. With so much cutting going on, I woudln't have been suprised if inspector John Clueso suddenly appeared 'How is the weather today?'. Even I felt abit lost amidst so many things happening at once. Why couldn't they make the movie last 3 hours? IMO that would have really made a difference. When I read the book, the introduction is what got me hooked. It set the pace for the whole story. In this movie, we get to know about five different characters in less than 10 minutes. And some of them don't even get developed properly (i.e. Bishop Aringarossa- I bet some people didn't even know what his character's purpose was till the end of the movie, or why Silas was going through all of this for him). Another example of bad cutting- the scene at the bank- the man who was helping them with retrieving their box disappears and suddenly reappears telling them the cops have arrived, and the audience don't even have a clue to why he was helping them.

The main cast did pretty well in their roles. I don't have any complaints. Ian McKellen did a very good job playing Teabing. Tom Hanks looked really sad during the whole show..maybe he was thinking 'damn..what am I doing here?!' And he was way to smart in the movie, solving the puzzles in a matter of seconds.

The movie started to get back on track when they arrived at Teabing's house. Though it was a very much condensed version of the conversation they had in the book, they had most of the main points, and it wasn't at any point boring. From the horrible introduction, the movie managed to climb its way back up to a decent film and it ended pretty well. With the last scene being easily one of the most memorable ones. Are upside-down pyramids cool or what?

To sum it up, I would treat the movie as a companion to the book. People who didn't read this book would probably not understand alot of the movie. I predict the dvd will probably have 2 hours of extra footage (I'm just kidding)- alot was cut out from the book, if included would have proabably made it a much better movie. This movie really needed to be longer or re-written. I hope in the not too distant future, someone will pick up this book and decide to make a movie that would trump the original and make me a very happy kid.

I'd give this movie a 6/10.

Oh and this wouldn't be a problem for most people, but the French dialogue isn't subtitled in English. :P

so the other day i was talking to seng yip about how ironic it would be to die on your birthday..yesterday, on the front page of the malay mail was a report about a woman who died on her birthday.

earlier today, i was talking to my classmates about insects we hated, and when I was doing the laundry just now, some green mantis/grasshopper creature jumped onto me! when it jumped off, I found a long stick and managed to kill it.

i remember once when i was out with raelene, and i was talking about people whom i didnt want to bump into at the mall, i ended up bumping into one of them.

i have come to the conclusion that i make things happen :P

The Da Vinci Code
This book has been out for ages..and suddenly all the controversy arises just because of the upcoming movie..I find it appalling that so many people are raising their voices over a work of fiction. True, people have been or will be misleaded, but it wasn't Dan Brown's intention to pull people from Christianity or to make people question their faith. All he wanted was to write a good book and cash in on its success, which it obviously did. When your book facing persecution from the Catholic Church, you know you've hit a gold mine.

Churches are publicly going after this book..ir almost seems like they want to get into the limelight..riding on the success of the masterpiece..

All of a sudden, specialists pop up from nowhere, writing countless books, trying to demystify a piece of fiction. Can anybody see the irony in that? What do you do when you get a good fiction book? You're not meant to pick it apart, you're just have to read and enjoy it.

I have read one of these 'truth behind da vinci code' books and i gotta say they are pretty imformative, though they don't cover the whole range of issues raised by the book (was Sunday really stolen?)

But Dan Brown didn't re-write the bible. He is no historian. He is an author. And all he did was weave a great tale. Dan Brown stated a number of facts at the start of his book, but I think people fail to realize that the 'facts' could be all part of the fiction itself..

So why are people going after him? The answer eludes me..just like why nobody raised any questions about Elves or Dwarves when Tolkien came up with Lord of the Rings. Or talking lions in Narnia. Let's not get me started with Harry Potter.. haha

You know its time to go watch The Da Vinci Code when the church warns you not to watch it ;)

Anyways, the new TBS album leaked, and it is super-awesome-fantastic-mega-beautiful-breath-taking-amazing-impressive- insert synonym for awesome here..once again, TBS doesn't disappoint! I've only been listening to the album for a few hours..I expect those few hours to extend to a few thousand..if you ever sit in my car, get ready for a feast for your ears!

Alot of stress has been lifted off my shoulders this week..it might turn out to be a good week after all..pre-release is in a few more days!! Dissension..here we go!

Wow, the past week has flown by like a leaf in the wind..

Hello children! I'm not dead, I just haven't found the inspiration and time to blog lately..and after telling Chung Sin that I'll blog in college, here I am!

Anyway, as usual, life has been hectic..I've been piled up with tonnes of assignments and projects that I have very little time to relax, and nothing interesting to blog about..

Except maybe about the Mondo Magic guy looking like MILF Hunter..I was at the mamak the other day when Mondo Magic Singapore came out, and I was like 'hey! this guy looks like the hunter!' I figured it must be his other job or something :p I tried looking for pictures of the Mondo Magic guy to post up here, but I couldn't find any which were big enough..

I'm in the computer lab now, and my lecturer is going to teach us how to use Sound Forge..the aircond is not working, and it's getting hot in here..

After last night's gig, I managed to wake up in time for church today!

Today had in store for me some bad news.. my cell group leader, Paul, was hospitalized last night.. he suffered head injuries when he fell during a game of basketball, and when he got his head checked, the doctors found out that his head was bleeding internally.. he underwent two surgeries and which were successful, according to the doctors..but there might be after effects which aren't known at the moment (because the bleeding was in his brain, his nervous system might have been affected- his speech, movement, sight etc might be impaired)..at the moment he lies unconcious, medically sedated, in ICU.. when he awakes on Tuesday, only will the final results be known..

Paul's a really great guy who I've known ever since I started attending youth church..he's one my closest friends there and he is my cell group leader..hell, he's the guy who talks to me when I go there alone..when I got the news it really hit home..even good guys get hurt..Why do faithful people suffer? Shouldn't they have it better since they're living their life to the fullest for God? I really don't know. I just hope he gets through this okay. Hang on, Paul..

(man, the 2nd half of my post is just going to kill the mood I set with the first half)
Besides the news I got in the morning, the rest of my day was not-so-glum.. I had a great day hanging out with Raelene at her house :)
Had lunch with Win Yew and Sam (it's been awhile!) and then went over to Rae's to watch 'Derailed'..the movie was okay..but the poor quality of the (cinema-recorded) DVD kinda ruined it..some of the dialogue was inaudible and so I didn't really understand the whole story, I'll catch it again when I get my hands on a better version..

Came home, did some work, and then surfed around the net for awhile, and I found my new favorite webcomic- White Ninja Comics. If you haven't read it before, I suggest you go check it out! It's in similar vein as Men In Hats (which was my favorite web comic till it was discontinued :( ) Simple drawings with funny, clever stories..a must read! I've even put their banner up on my links page :p

I just came back from Jam Asia's 1st anniversary gig, and it was pretty good..alot of big names showed up..though most of them weren't my cup of tea, some bands really shined.. Edge of Fire blew everyone away (imo) they were the best band of the night.. Cosmic Funk Express did what they did best and never failed to amaze the crowd.. most of the other bands did rap/rock stuff, which I've lost my fondness for over the years, didn't really impress me even though they played well :)

Honorable mention: Deja Voodoo Spells- I finally got to watch them live, after reading quite alot about how great they were on jamtank..they're pretty good..but then tonight wasn't a night that they decided to show of their technicality (besides the drum solo?) so I couldn't really give an opinion..they were real tight though..definitely for fans of old school rock and hendrix

No pictures because I didn't have my camera with me :( they'll probably be up on Albert's blog though (check my links page for his blog)

I would give the gig a 7/10..it was pretty good..worth the rm20 spent..probably would've been better 5 years ago when I still listened to rap/rock :P

Hrm..I wasn't a bad kid or anything, but alot of teachers knew me..I guess I got pretty infamous by doing other stuff :p (like writing the lyrics of 'Stan' on the back of my chemistry exam and ms. Ratnam reading it out to the whole class haha)

Teaching other n00bs bad words (I got sent to the head master for that)
Stealing my comic book back from my teacher who took it from me because I was drawing in it during her class (I got sent to the head master for that too)

You know, ever since my handphone was stolen, I've been taking less random pictures..so anyways I decided, since I didn't have my camera handy all the time, I shall pull out pictures from my head instead..and today was an interesting day..today I saw:

I was walking to class when I saw this huge set of Mariahs I KID YOU NOT! My picture does no justice to the size of those wobbling melons! Lynndy was there, and she can testify for me! It was crazy!!

An African(-American?) wearing a Linkin Park shirt..now that's not something you see everyday! What happened to G-Unit? hahaha

I was standing outside the computer lab with Lynndy when I noticed this girl by the railing had her pants so low, you could see more than half her ass! Of course she had her 'girl boxers' on, but that's not the point..I mean, how many times do you get to see girls with their pants down this low? It's even lower than what I've seen most (rapper wannabe) guys wear!

As you can see, the photos wouldn't have been safe for me to snap anyway, I could have been smashed by those hoo-hoos or beaten up by a big black guy..haha..well here is a picture I could take:

So today, I decided to drive fast.

I don't know why, I just did it..I haven't driven the car at such speeds for quite some time, and I don't know why I did it :p

Anyways, nothing bad happened to me (thank God) but bad things happened on the road! I ran over 2 kittens, a pidgeon and a dog..a rock cracked my windshield, and I almost lost control of the car..

No, not really.. :p I was driving behind this huge ass lorry (carrying tonnes of rocks) on the highway to uni when one of its tyres burst..good thing I wasn't too close to it..but I still got freaked out by the loud bang and the flying pieces of tyre.. At first, I thought something happend to my car!

I've been recently infected by the REAL ultimate power fever..haha it's such a cool website..go visit it if you haven't already!

Thursday is blasting from my speakers and I am enjoying myself immensely..the music is flowing out through my speakers..the sound (energy) channels into my ears, and I listen to the words and the drums and the guitars and the keyboards..I tap my toes and nod my head to the beat..I imagine I am Geoff and that I'm singing my heart out into a mic..

Earlier I was watching The Chappelle Show for a couple of hours straight and I was a happy boy..this guy is too funny..he needs his own TV station!

Anyways, I was just doing the laundry (as usual) and I was thinking about how easily amused we are..Almost everybody gets entertainment by looking at things (I say almost everybody, cos there still are people who don't have access to computers/tvs, and then there are the blind people)

Be it still images printed in magazines, to photographs on polaroids or moving pictures projected on the big screen- we find entertainment in things we see..the words you are reading on my blog now, or the monsters you killed in that ps2 game or American Idol earlier on TV (Katherine Mcphee is smoking hot btw)- all the images were made up of little dots..pixels all arranged in rows and columns, displaying different colors to collectively make up the whatever you see..

WE ARE AMUSED BY LITTLE DOTS! AMAZING!

Dave Chappelle is a bunch of little dots on my screen..his voice is sound energy flowing through my speakers..My words are dots on your screen..my voice is inaudible because I am not speaking to you..

Anyways, something cool happened to me today- true story!

I was walking through a corridor in college today, a cute girl in a mini skirt was walking towards me from the opposite direction. As she drew closer, she gave me this sweet smile and she bit her lip in a seductive manner, and all of a sudden, I got the courage to bust a pick up line (which I ingenuously crafted :P) on her-

Yesterday marked my first ever paint ball experience! Props to FGA's youth church leaders for organizing such a fun event :)

If you guys ever get a chance to play paintball- take it! Paintball is awesome! Just think Counter-Strike in real life..except for the pain you feel the when you get shot..and no crosshairs to guide your weapons..and you can get tired playing the game..and the pain you feel..and the sweat..and the pain..

Actually, I didn't suffer as much as my team mates, I only recieved about 5 shots over the course of 6 games..The marks the bullets leave look kinda like love bites :P The worst shot I ever got was the one to my face, where the ball exploded and paint went through my mask into my mouth..man it tasted real sick..

Overall, I had a really great time..shooting other people, kicking flags down, running and sneaking around..and stuff like that..

The paintball place was in Sungei Buloh which was really far away but it was pretty cheap considering you got 200 balls for RM50, while other places got you like 60 balls for RM50..

Besides paintballing, the past week has been busy..I got to spend Friday with Raelene and we went to China Town again :) had a great time with her..

I've been reading Mitch Albom's "The Five People You Meet In Heaven"..halfway through now, and I gotta say "Wow"..it is just amazing..I can't wait to finish reading it to see what happens at the end..It is original and unique..Never encountered a book like it before..a definite must read.

I got another call from a gym- Celebrity Fitness this time..I wonder who keeps putting my number in all these lists?! it's like spam!

Hello world! Life has been really up and down recently, and for once, the good beats the evil :)

Had a rough patch with Raelene this week and I'm glad we've got through it..Assignments are starting to pile up..it's already been 2 weeks since classes started- that means there's only 12-13 weeks of uni left till the end of sem!

My lecturer actually told me that my drawings were good..twice this week, during two different times..I mean, wow..(haha I better not let it get to my head)..so it must mean that I've improved..or my lecturer is a liar..I'd prefer the former :p

I started using my camera again (Sony cybershot) in the absence of my camera hand phone, and I gotta say, photographs are fun to take..just not as easy to take on the fly when your camera is a huge ass mofo..

Sometimes I think I'm destined to go to church alone..today as I was sitting alone in a crowd of unfamiliar faces, I wondered what I was doing there..
Well, if you're going to church, it's for God alone, and no one else right?

All my friends whom I've brought to church don't go anymore..most of them have left (to another church, or overseas)..so during services, I'm usually sitting alone except when I get the occasional visit from Win Yew (and recently, Samantha)..the only people I really talk to are my cell group leaders who are usually busy with their duties during the service..despite's God's presence, church has never felt lonelier..come back from U.S. Aaron!

anyway, today was spent with TJ, SY, and Hijas at Horus Surf in SS2..played alot of CS..damn I miss those days at Taylor's :D

Taylor's college.. the place where I completed my A-levels, yet didn't do so well..I guess not everybody's cut out to be an engineer..

Haven't had the time to blog recently..hell, I don't even get to spend much time online nowadays..the only thing I do is leave my pc on to torrent stuff, and read other blogs..I guess I could be blogging instead of reading, but who wants to read nonsense anyway? So I've decided that I will only blog when I have something interesting to say..no more 'I went to this place today, and met up with my friends, and we did this and that'

Be prepared to read stuff like 'Why boys in pink shirts with collars upturned need to be shot'..sometimes I feel like spilling out everything somewhere, and I figured it should make a good read for my blog right? but I don't want this place to turn into some whine-y ranting outlet..I've got my friends and Raelene for that :p

Anyways, my semester started on Monday..after a 3-month break, classes seem so tiring..even 2 hour ones..my time table's not too great- classes ending at 6.30 on a Friday- not great.. Subject-wise, I've got some great subjects (including one where we have to watch cartoons for homework haha)..lecturers are good..except for one terribly boring soft spoken man :p he knows his stuff, he just doesn't speak loud enough and he doesn't make the lectures interesting..

Assignments have already started flowing..our final project will be a Public Service Announcement (PSA) about Road Safety (deja vu?) well this time we'll get to make an animation..currently stuck with very little ideas, so any help would be appreciated! :)

I actually wrote a post without writing 'lol' lol. Oh, and I've gotten my old phone number back, so if you want me to have your number in my phone book, just drop me an sms with your name in it..

I've been listening to the new Taking Back Sunday song (Make Damn Sure) for about 5 days straight, and I'm still crazy about it..genius..it's such an awesome song..I can't wait for their new release (which hits the stores April 26th- not in Malaysia though..sigh)

And assholes getting to see TBS in australia (i.e. Chung Sin) I hate you!! haha, just kidding..bring a video cam and get some footage! then mail it to me! I will be forever grateful! I will drive to P.D. next time! :p

Well, I watched Brookeback mountain the other day, and it was boring..boring, boring, boring! I don't know how it got nominated for so many awards..I mean, how great can a movie about two gay cowboys be? Not very.. I don't know, why there's so much hype surrounding the movie..I barely made it through the first hour, forcing myself to watch it, trying to grasp anything interesting about it- there was nothing! needless to say, I stopped watching the movie about 3/4 through..unfinished..it didn't need to be finished..

Rating: 0/5- even the princess diary's princess' tits couldn't save this from being trash. Watch only if you're into men kissing each other. Otherwise, avoid it like the plague! As bad as 'The Human Stain'..and that is low..

You know, I think the mugging incident has instilled some fear into me..whenever I'm walking alone through a bunch of people now, I just get paranoind, and hold on to my keys in my pocket and make sure my that wallet is secure..

I guess that's just life..people get more wary after experiences..like the lack of complete trust between new couples, when one has been betrayed prior to that, or the unwillingness to try the same dish again at a different restaurant when the previous one you tried made you sick..

Life's about learning. Wise words from a wise boy. haha..

You know, it's almost been a week since my phone was taken from me..and I'm actually getting used to it..it's not too bad! Without the phone, I don't have any worries of missing any calls because nobody can call me! When I drive, I don't have a phone to distract me! When I'm out, nobody can interrupt me! When I'm asleep, people can't call me to wake me up! So guys, if you wanna try taking a break from everyone else around you, just turn off your handphone and drive away.. it feels liberating :)

Today marks my first ever Valentine's day that I spent with a girl..cool..it actually turned out not to be a disaster! and the icing on the cake? she actually liked my present..(I've improved!)

After getting caught in approximately 2-hour-long jam from my place to hers- damn KL drainage systems! at the sign of slight rain, floods start to happen! It's no suprise why we're a 3rd.. nevermind.. I didn't let it spoil my mood.. because I left the house extra early, I was only about 20 minutes late.. we went to Souled Out Cafe for dinner, and man it was packed, but we managed to get seats without booking!

Wow, for the first time in 20 years I'm spending Valentine's Day with a girl! (actually less than that, since primary school kids aren't supposed to be having dates)

I've got the gift- I hope my gift buying skills have improved :P but I haven't got the restaurant in mind yet..if anyone has a great place to recommend by tonight, I would appreciate it :)

If you've never met anyone who got his ass beat up and phone stolen from him before, well congrats- I'll be your first..haha

I was walking through the streets of Taman Desa to my dad's pub to get some keys to go home..I was walking and minding my own business when I saw two guys walking towards my direction about 5 metres away..less than ten seconds later, I found myself on the ground with a blow on the back of my head..my vision became blurry and my glasses were knocked off..I recieved another blow to my back, and one more to my right arm.

Then they spoke up (in cantonese) "Give me your phone"
I said "I don't-" and they started groping my pockets, so I yelled "Wait!"
I looked at the two men, one of them with his hand around the back of my neck, and the other to my left. The guy behind me was a big sized guy, taller than 6 feet, dressed in an orange shirt..the guy to my left was a shorter, stout man dressed in a blue shirt.. In those 5 seconds, I quickly evaluated my options-

I couldn't run, I was pinned by the big man.. I thought of attacking them, but there were two of them- the big alone could've probably taken me down single-handedly, and I was afraid that they would have weapons, so I decided to just surrender my phone and hope that they didn't want anything else..thank God they didn't..the short guy grabbed my phone, and the big guy threw another punch that grazed the back of my head and they ran off into a red Proton Savvy..

Anyways, my dad lodged a police report, and I went back home..I called up maxis and asked them to bar my phone number.. I never thought something like this would happen.. well I guess there's always a first time for everything.. things could have been much worse..thank God, they weren't.. I actually had a really great day prior to the mugging.. had lunch and watched a movie with Raelene.. got an early Valentine's present from her (thanks alot baby :)) and had dinner with TJ, James and Seng Yip.. bought myself a yellow tie as well.. got mugged as well.. haha

Well, if you ever get phone calls from my phone, ignore them, or answer them and scold their asses for stealing my phone..

I'd like to quote Raelene: "better pray hard we win the stupid valentine's contest k"

Today, while chatting with the Railway of Arts gang, Kit Wai found out the true meaning of "carrefour"- it means crossroads! After all these years, I know what it really means!

"Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is now one of my favorite movies..I watched it earlier today and shit it was funny as hell! The dialogue was amazing, I never thought Val Kilmer could be so funny, Michelle Monaghan is a BABE..the movie was just- I dare say- flawless..amazing work of art! This is going to be one of those movies I'll be watching again and again :D

Look what came in the mail today!

Yet another T-shirt!

So Hui-Xieng decided it would be really nice of her to buy me a FATA T-shirt as a birthday + Christmas present, and all I gotta say is 'wow, that IS nice of her!' thanks alot Hui-Xieng! one of my favorite bands on a t-shirt! how wrong can you go? (the Ralph was a nice touch :P)

And recieving t-shirts as presents doesn't mean there's anything wrong with my dress sense!!

I finally finished Indigo Prophecy, and the ending was okay..the whole game was good though, till the final few chapters where the crazy just took a crazy turn and kinda ruined what it was building up to..but nevertheless, one of the most original games I've played..worth checking out. I'd give it a 7/10..higher if it wasn't for the very flawed ending :p

Been watching ALOT of Dave Chappelle lately, and this guys IS funny..seriously, if you're looking for comedy, give him a try..stuff along the lines of Chris Rock, poking fun at the media and real life issues..

So I've been plagued by some weird dreams lately..must be too much of Indigo Prophecy :p

The other day, I had a dream where I was hanging out with my sister, her friend, and Raelene..anyways, my sister's friend asked me to help her tie her shoelace, and I willingly obliged..Raelene got pissed at me for doing that, and broke up with me on the spot..she came back crying later, saying she wanted to get back together, and I said 'No!' haha..

Last night I had a dream where I was at Cyberjaya's Strip Mall with my friends having lunch..after eating, I went out for a walk and bumped into an ex-schoolmate of mine..she came up to me and we started talking for abit..then she asked if she could see my phone, and so I gave it to her..she looked at my phone and saw a picture of me and Raelene on my wallpaper, then she asked me "who is she? is she your girlfriend?"

And then I don't know why, but I suddenly got a bad feeling about answering her question..and I knew if I said yes, something bad would happen! I was like watching everything play out like a game (indigo prophecy) with my dialogue choices above my head, and a timer counting down..I chose "yes" even with the bad feeling, cos I felt that the truth was the right thing to say..

then she asked me again "tell me the truth? is she really your girlfriend?" and I repeated "yes".. she burst into tears! hahaha..I asked her "why are you crying??" and she replied "cos I was going to tell you that I love you!" and she ran away crying. I went back to my friends in the restaurant, told them what happened, and we all started laughing together!

Man, I don't know how my brain comes up with all these things! it's crazy..

Wow, the past week has been awesome, not including my miserable angpow count- so far I've only gotten rm150+..and i've already spent quite abit!

I got to spend a few days with my darling Fragrant :) can you believe it? it's been 7 months! amazing.

Anyways, I've got even bigger news- DUMBASS 2 is currently being filmed! :D Today marks the end of a 2 year long hiatus..I always knew this day would come!

Today we had a great day of shooting..we almost got 10 minutes of raw footage done..2 more weeks and we should have enough material to be compiled into the final movie..

If you thought part one was hardcore, part two will blow you away! The stuff we've got so far already tops what we had in part one! (except the scene where win yew almost got hit by a car..nothing's gonna top that for a long time!)

I just hope everything will go as scheduled..I plan to distribute part two using vcd, and hopefully bitorrent! So if you like leaving your pc on 24/7, have bandwidth to spare, and nothing better to do, let me know!

And for people who haven't seen part one yet, and want to, let me know- add me on msn or leave a comment..if enough people want it, I'll start seeding part one, and we can spread the love!

I've noticed the sudden surge of hits- most probably due to this site being linked on suckball.com (thanks louis and james) anyways, to all you people who came by from suckball, my website is far from awesome, hell, it's not even a website, it's just a blog :)

Anyways CNY hasn't been that exciting for me..just the usual relative visting, ang pow collecting, though this time around, ang pows haven't been weighing in anything..haha no more Evo fund (if you recall I did a couple years back!)

I'm gonna open a bank account with the money I get and start saving some money (hopefully) :P

Haven't blogged for the past few days cos I've been busy cleaning up the house and usual chore-boy stuff..mom didn't want to throw rubbish out on CNY (some silly superstition thingy) so I was forced to work overtime last night..haha

Yesterday night, I drank a cup of honey..and ants. Ants! Man it was sick! I went into my room at night, without turning on the lights, took my cup of honey I left on the table and drank it. I kept the honey in my mouth, letting the taste linger in my throat before swallowing it. When I put the cup under running water, I noticed there were little black lines all over the cup, so I took a closer look. The WHOLE cup was covered in ants!! I quickly spit the honey out of my mouth and filled the cup with water..I never felt that disgusted before!

Anyways, the moral of the story is- don't drink from a cup without looking into it..

To conclude, just a sketch of my character in an upcoming comic project! Stay tuned!

Today was spent at home cleaning up the house. Actually just the fans.. I spent the better part of the day wiping and cleaning the fans in my house, which was just troublesome..got my car wipers changed..watched American Idol..went online abit, drew some stuff..didn't do anything too exciting today

So I haven't been online alot lately..and I haven't written anything in ages..well not that it affects anybody..right? lol

The past week has been full of activities! Which is cool, what a great way to spend the last few weeks of my holidays :) I'll try to recap my week..

- Hung out at a play ground with Chung Sin and gang
- Started and finished "Stubbs The Zombie"
- Started "Indigo Prophecy" awesome game, go download!
- Started watching "One Tree Hill" season 2
- Walked from Bukit Antarabangsa to Ampang Point..(about 2 hours both ways :P)
- Hung out with Raelene :)
- Stayed over Ferhan's house
- Went for the Guildpact Pre-release tournament
- Had a BBQ
- Went to the cybercafe quite a number of times

So nothing much to post at the moment..I will talk about The Greatest Journey (to Ampang Point) another day..I have tonnes of photos and video footage! Here are some of the photos:

So the other day I went for another buffet, with Chung Sin, Shyr Siew, and Seng Yip.. we went to megamall's cititel cafe..the buffet cost about 45 bucks..and the food was pretty good..I ate an insane amount of food..no, actually Shyr Siew ate an insane amount of food..he had 10 different plates of foods!! that was crazy! I got through about 3+ plates and I was done! I couldn't even finish my dessert.. Seng Yip and Shyr Siew went to crap halfway during their meals, and came back feeling 'like new men'..had tonnes of fun..moment of the night-
Chung Sin: "mamaks should have buffet too"
Shyr Siew: "what the hell?"
Me: *spews water*
Everyone: laughs out loud

After that we talked about it and realised mamaks would make alot of money if they started having buffets..charge rm15 per person, for them to eat whatever they want..their bill would never amount to that much..and mamaks would be rich!

this movie was horrible..right there with the pile of crap korean horror movies: premonition and ghost train (whatever its called)..shit its like the pre-requisites for a horror movie nowadays are: a long haired female character, a creepy poster. Oh, don't think I forgot anything else :p what happened to the classics like Ju On and Shutter? haha
